Healthiest Alcoholic Drinks!

Hey there!

If you're going to incorporate alcohol as part of your holiday celebrating experience than I want you to make the healthiest drink choice possible.

Here is a list of my favorite go-to alcoholic drinks and a brief description as to why!

  • Tito's Vodka and Club Soda - This drink will keep you hydrated and feeling great all night long! You can spice it up with a lemon, lime or cucumber. Plus Tito's Vodka is gluten-free!

  • Booch Craft- If you're a beer drinker, this is a great alternative. This is a brand of kombucha that has a high alcohol content. This drink is loaded with beneficial probiotics is gluten-free and organic!

  • Champagne- Champagne is gluten-free and can be fairly low in sugar as long as you stick with the "Brut Naturals" and "Brut Zero" varieties.

  • Red Wine - Red wine is loaded with antioxidants. Add a little club soda and chopped fruit for added health benefits.

  • White Wine- White wine is slightly lower in calories than red wine. Again, add a little club soda and chopped fruit for added health benefits.

  • A good rule of thumb when shopping for wine, since there are no actual nutrition labels on bottles of wine, is to look for the Alcohol by Volume (ABV) percentage. ABVs can range from 9 percent to 17 percent. Aim for an ABV that's between 9 to 12 percent, which equals 110 to 140 calories per six-ounces.

  • Mojito- (Made with honey and not syrup) Muddle some lime, mint, club soda, rum and honey and voila, a tasty and healthy drink that everyone will love!

  • Bourbon- Bourbon is typically low in calories and it has a more complex flavors and easier to sip on than other types of alcohol.

  • Always remember that when drinking any kind of alcohol, your liver is going to beworking overtime trying to process it all. So consume alcohol in moderation and be sure to drink loads of water in between each beverage and the all throughout the next day to help your body flush it all out of your system.

Drinking doesn't have to be taboo when living a healthier lifestyle. It's all about balance. I want you to know and really understand that living healthfully is a lifestyle, not just a fad diet.
