Make it simple, make it practical, make it enjoyable & it becomes doable

If you want to get really good at something, it’s all about staying consistent.

Additionally, it’s important to practice, practice, practice.

It seems obvious, but to achieve a goal, you need to work at it. That goes for playing a musical instrument, learning a foreign language, meal prepping & establishing a healthy exercise routine!

My philosophy around fitness is the same as nutrition...Make it simple, make it practical, make it enjoyable & it becomes doable.

For example, is it achievable to go to the gym 5 times a week, Sure!

But if you worked out zero times last week, the reality of you fitting in 5 workouts this week is unlikely.

Impossible? No.

Burnt out, achy and dreading next week? Most likely.

This may sound silly but this is an example of the unrealistic goals that we set for ourselves on a daily basis that leave us feeling like a failure and less likely to attempt that goal again.

Instead, let’s adopt a “zero-25” mentality vs. a “zero-100” mentality!

Be gentle with yourself. Set a realistic date, maybe 3-6 months away for that 5 days-a-week workout goal & if you get there ahead of time, great.

In the meantime focus on working out 1 day a week for a short period of time, then 2 days a week, then 3 days a week, until you feel ready for 5 times a week of exercise!

Plus, when you set a smaller goal & achieve it, your confidence and self-esteem shoot through the roof! You start to feel really great about yourself & looking forward to your next small goal!

This simple, yet effective shift can create massive change in your end outcome of a healthier, happier and slimmer you.

It just starts with having a clear goal in mind, being realistic about your goal setting endeavors & remaining consistent until you reach that lofty goal!

Despite the worst days or weeks, brush it off and start anew!

That’s all we can ever do as a humans, Try again!

This was not always easy for me to do and took many years of practicing self- discipline. So if you struggle when it comes to holding yourself accountable and don’t want to waste years setting out to achieve your health goals on your own, than I have the solution for you! >> https://www.ohhowhealthy.com/insider
