The Benefits of Having a Smoothie a Day

September 27, 2017

For many years now, I have been making smoothies on a regular basis. I usually make them for breakfast, but I also find that they are an amazing pick-me-up at any time of the day. By making a large batch, I can store extra in the fridge to have on-hand for a snack, refreshing energy blast, or even an emergency food fix. My philosophy is that by drinking at least one smoothie per day (loaded with healthy ingredients), at least you know that you are getting optimum nutrition – no matter what the rest of your day brings. Plus, by already being in an easy-to-digest form (liquid), your body needs less energy to digest them and has more energy for, well, YOU!

I have to say that with all the super-nutrients and delicious flavors, I never feel hungry, have tons of energy, and always feel completely nourished. My smoothies fuel me up for my busy days of coaching clients, running my business, and doing the things I love! I never have to count calories, carbs, proteins, or fats – ever. You see, when you are giving your body whole, natural foods, like fruits, vegetables, nuts, and seeds, you are more easily able to maintain a healthy weight. So, when you begin to drink smoothies on a regular basis, you will be able to reap all these benefits, too!

Why Smoothies Are So Good For You!

  • A simple and efficient way to consume a large variety of greens, and other healthy produce.

  • Give your digestive system a break and help reduce bloating, gas, and other digestive complaints

  • Can be used to target healing for particular body systems or organs by using specific ingredients.

  • Packed full of vitamins, enzymes, and minerals, and are easy to digest, which means you will be better able to absorb nutrients.

  •  Loaded with fiber and promote proper bowel function

  • Support the body’s natural detoxification processes

Moving Forward

I believe health and happiness begin with the food we put in our mouths. I believe in the power of detoxification and cleansing. I believe in the power of positive thinking and intention. The combination of these beliefs led me to create programs for my clients, who have experienced amazing changes in their health and well-being as a result.

Despite all the nutrition information out there, new clients who come to see me are so confused about what to eat, when, and how. They are looking for someone to break it all down for them and help them find what works for their particular bodies. The cornerstone of my coaching practice is based on “bio-individuality” which means that everyone is different, and what works for some, doesn’t work for all. That’s why many other programs fail because they are based on a “one-size- fits-all" approach. This is not your fault, we were not taught better about this topic. When working with me, I empower you with the resources and information that you’ll need in order to reach your ideal weight loss goals as well as hold you accountable towards achieving them!
